He walked into the store; it was 7 PM thus the sun had gone down, and he was safe from it's rays. The store wouldn't close until 11 PM which he thought was quite foolish for the owner had to go nearly across town to get home. But yet kharton was grateful of that for he had something to do at night, he looked over at her she was busy but she looked up at him when the door bell rang to see who walked in. At first she just stared at them then she smiled and said welcome back; he grinned but didn't thank her.
He walked down a few rows of book shelves until he saw a bunch of vampire books put together he enjoyed reading the foolish myths and stories they wrote. He plopped the first book he saw off the shelf and walked over to the sitting area. The book.. was Twilight, he'd heard of the stories people said about the series it was so off from the vampire myths many others wrote and once again it was totally wrong.

Asphodel's father was out with some other hunters getting ready for night fall because apparently thats when the vampires were out the most. She still wasn't sure if he was crazy or totally serious. She loved vampires and the supernatural stuff that was associated with them, especially the blood. Ash had a very odd fascination with blood it didn't matter if it was hers or someone elses she would touch it and just star like she was in a trance. Her father had of course told her to stay in and lock the doors like he always did so she slipped on a poofy black skirt, some knee high boots, a long white shirt with a black vest on over it and brushed her straight black hair so it framed her face.
The sun was setting when she stepped out side and walked the short distance from her house to the book store. She loved books especially old ones then again she liked old anything, hence her victorian gothic appearance. She walked to the back where some of the dustier books were and grabbed an old copy of romeo and juliet and walked to the sitting area. She noticed a rather gorgeous looking boy sitting there and she felt her face flush a light rosy color as she took a seat by him. She pulled her legs up under her and brushed some dust off the book sighing a little. She was kind of bored.

Kharton frowned, he'd grown angry of reading it already, but he continued to read out of curiousity. He knew however it was not safe for a vampire such as him to walk around so senseless but he'd done it for nearly a few weeks already with out any trouble, no more would come to him, He wouldn't allow it. Kharton isghed as if uncomoftable and moved to a different pose in the seat something that felt much better then the last one. He staired down at the page but didn't bother to read it for his senses had kicked in.
He could here some rustle close to him then sigh and sit down, no-body saw to sit near him, not anyone sane at least. He looked up casting his eyes quickly over the other before demetriming what she was; he grinned at her. He didn't bother to make conversation with her at first then he noticed what she was reading "a fine book in it's day, I'm quite suprised it's still so popular now" he said before returning his attention back to his book, he frowned as he read then slammed it onto the table. "This book is simply rediculas" he spoke as if it was all the books fault but surely it wasn't it was the author's.

She looked down at the cover of her book and smiled a little. "Yeah...gotta love the classics. I think romeo and juliet will always be one of those books that is forever popular. Or at least I hope so...cant let that time era die like the rest of them." She smirked when she saw the cover of his book and she shook her head. That book was ridiculously stupid. She had no clue why he would even want to pick it. "That book is for teenagers with unrealistic expectations in men. Though it would be nice if vampires were real. Just not that kind of vampire. More like Queen of the damned and interview with a vampire. Those are good books if your interested."
She loved those books because she loved vampires. She felt her cheeks grow even redder the more she talked. She had a tendency to over talk when she was nervous and for some reason she was feeling really nervous sitting next to this super hot guy. She could feel her heart race pick up and she accidentally dropped her book and bent over to pick it up. Why was she getting so nervous. "I'm Asphodel." She liked her name because it was a poisons flower. Beautiful yet deadly. Much like her.

Khaarton nodded she was quite right about that. he turned his attention down the row of bookshelves despite nobody being there. He returned his eyes again when she spoke of the book and how the other books where much better "I have no want in reading a book again; I was simply curious to see" he admitted looking down at the book on the table. He sighed, why where people so obsessed with these books now-a-days? the way the author talked of vampires made him think she was just making a fool of herself; like she wanted to die.
When she told her name he looked at her and grinned, it worked for her. For a few moments he debated to speak his name if he really thought she was the daughter of a hunter she would surely know his name, not that is mattered much to him. "That is an interesting name.. Mine is Kharton" he said looking off again he frowned, his name what a pathetic one meaning "free peasent settlement" but the name had been popular back when he had been born and back in his country, he wondered if he still had his australian accent but that was probably very slim in chances for he'd lived in America for much longer then he'd ever back home.

She shrugged and nodded. If any book should be burnt it would be the twilight series. She closed her romeo and juliet book and dropped it on the table not really feeling much like reading any more. She used her hand to cover a yawn and she stretched a little on the chair. She was tired. She brushed a piece of cat hair from her lap and brushed a strand of black hair behind her ear. "Twilight is a disgrace to vampires. They deserve much more credit than that." She held a high respect for vampires. Truthfully the fact that vampires might actually exist according to her father excited her a great deal. The whole blood sucking thing and biting thing was pretty hot. She loved being bitten.
She smirked a bit when he said his name and she tilted her head to the side. She had heard her father speak that name many times. Something about him being a vampire. Things were finally starting to make a little bit more sense. Was this guy really a vampire? She knew she should be afraid and run home to daddy telling him she found a vampire but she just felt a chill run up her spine. She really didn't want to leave now besides he was nice to look at, he was pretty much perfect in her eyes. "So...are you really a vampire or is my dad crazy?" She asked with a raised eye brow wanting to know the truth behind it all.

Kharton raised an eyebrow at her, she had much respect for his kind, but then again many humans fanticized being a vampire thus they to took to great respect over them, it was a shame for many vampires used it against them, but Kharton had recently fed plus he didn't mind talking to her much for the moment. "Thank you" he said. knowing now it was a dead give-away of his absence on being human, but at this point he didn't really care.
When she yawned he frowned; now that he was a vampire there was no need for sleep, however if he so wished to he could sleep. when she asked if he really was a vampire he grinned, his suspisions where right about her, not like they where ever very wrong, it was almost a skill he'd gained forl living as long as he did "Well I'm sure as hell not superman now am I?" he said raising an eyebrow "Your father is correct I am a vampire" he grinned.
